I have a very fast PC (intel i7 6 core 3.4ghz / all disks are SSD 500MB/s 16GB ddr4 ram). But still, compared to Fallout 3, loading times are very long, when I open door, or use fast travel, I need to wait about 10 seconds, reading the message with some hints, that I wouldn't normally even notice in Fallout 3.
I thought it might be the speed of PC, but apparently, when running task manager simultaneously, I can see that CPU is constantly on 2% usage only, disk usage on 0%, ram is almost free and swap disabled. I don't see anything that would be utilized by the game and that made me think that this delay while loading some different place is here on purpose, so that you actually have enough time to read that tip you can see on loading screen.
I don't need to read these tips, is there any way to force the game to load the map as soon as it's possible? It's extremely annoying!

I have noticed this as well, and I have (more or less) proof:Try to uncap frame rate and enter a new area. The loading time will be significantly lower. As OP says, when capped to 60fps, the loading screen (and its animation) will be much slower and wait so you have time to read the tips. Uncapped, it's almost impossible to read.
The reason for this is because the game speed is related directly to frame rate in this engine, which means going 120fps will double effective game speed. Since the loading screen itself is a very simple animation, it can reach 240+ fps easily, resulting in lower loading times.
Of course, the the same is also true for regular gameplay: NOT capping the game to 60fps will sometimes suddenly make the game speed up and make certain mini-games (like the lockpicking one) a lot more difficult. It's a shame we can't have both, but it seems we're stuck with either unnecessarily long loading times, or sped-up gameplay.
Hopefully, someone will mod this out as soon as possible.

Fallout 4 Loading Time Forever
We've seen people asking why Fallout 4 can take a while to install on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Fallout 4 weighs in at 26.2GB on PS4 and 27.9GB on Xbox One. After downloading the PS4 version from the PlayStation Network, it took me just under an hour to install the game. Digital Foundry clocked the Xbox One version at 29 minutes.
Many PS4 and Xbox One games allow you to get going before the installation process is complete. So why is Fallout 4 different?
I asked Digital Foundry chief Richard Leadbetter. Here's what he said:
We can only really speculate as to why Bethesda chose to bypass the consoles' 'fast start' mechanism for playing Fallout 4 while the game continues to install behind the scenes, but it's likely down to the fact that the initial, very linear introduction sequence is over fairly quickly. After that, you have immediate access to the open world - and the game cannot anticipate the direction you're likely to travel in.
Rather than impede progress with obtrusive installation screens and progress bars, it seems that the developer has chosen to ensure that all the data is installed onto the hard drive ahead of time - just like a standard PC game. It takes longer to get into the game as a consequence - and you'll need to preload the entire game if you've bought the digital copy - but I'd say it's the best solution overall, even if it's not completely ideal.
Thankfully, Fallout 4 plays those cool S.P.E.C.I.A.L. promotional videos while the game is installing, so there's something to tide you over while you wait for the percentage to creep up to 100.

Forgotten your details? Fallout 4 mods are now available on Xbox One! There are a few simple steps to getting them up and running, however, so be sure to follow this guide to completely change your Commonwealth.
It should be noted there is a 2GB limit to the mods you can have downloaded at any one time. Make sure all the mods you want to use combine to take up less than 2GB of space.
EDIT: If the Mods option on the main menu of Fallout 4 doesn't appear in your game, make sure you update your copy. To do so, do a hard reset on your Xbox One and load Fallout 4 again. Due to heavy traffic, you may experience delays accessing the servers.
- Song hit me baby one more time. First, you’ll need to have a Bethesda.net account. To do so, go to the Bethesda.net website and create one
- Once you have verified your account, log in and click the “Mods” tab at the top of the page
- Make sure you’re looking at Fallout 4 mods, then apply the filter for Xbox One under “Platform”
- The hard part: Picking the mods you want to use. You have a limit of 2GB of active mods, so pick wisely (There is also the option to browse mods while ingame on your Xbox One)
- Once you’ve selected a mod you want, click on it, and hit the “Add To Library” button
- Load up Fallout 4 on Xbox One, and you’ll see the new main menu has a “Mods” option
- Select the Mods option in the main menu, and you’ll get brought to the library of mods you selected online
- Select the mods you want to enable or disable, or change the order load to ensure everything works properly
- Go back to the main menu and load your game
- Enjoy
Loading mods into your game will create a new save file of “Character Name [Modded].” This allows you to play in the same game you had, without doing any permanent damage to your progress. Playing with mods will also turn off achievements, so don’t try to cheat your way to a better gamerscore.
If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, you can create your own mods as well. To do this, you’ll need a PC copy of Fallout 4. Next, download and install the Creation Kit from CreationKit.com. Follow some tutorials and watch some YouTube videos to really get going from there.
It should be noted that not all mods will be available on Xbox One. There are no nudity mods available, and nothing that contains copyrighted material.
Mods will be coming to PS4 some time next month, but no date has been specified by Bethesda as of right now.
If your mods don’t seem to be working properly, you may need to change up your load order. Some mods require that other mods are in place first to work. To do this, pull up the Mods menu on the Start screen and press Y.
From here, reorder the mods so the most important ones are at the top. The mods that depend on other mods should be put at the bottom of the list so they load last.
So what do you think? Are you excited to see mods actually coming to console games? Are you bummed to know you’re limited to only 2GB of mods at any given time? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
Forums:Index > Fallout: New Vegas gameplay help > Loading screen forever for pc
Sometimes, when trying to Continue or Load the game from the main menu, the game will begin loading, but stay loading 'forever' (slides will still change, and the roulette wheel will still spin, but the game will never actually load - tested up to 25 minutes), this is easily solved, just clear the cache on your Hard-Drive (Xbox 360) and it should then allow you to load.
this problem for xbox360, but i have the same problem for pc, how can i fix it. i have 1.4 patch and 3 expansion pack. this problem can happen every loading screen, not just save or continue game ,
Had this problem on PC as well. Started FALLOUT and selected save game, after this endless loading. Same occured several times. When I restarted Fallout and waited little longer in menu screen and after this loaded the same game, it worked perfectly. .. Was maybe just too fast or something.
It seems usefull. I found another way, start new game, after load your game. But i still have problem, i said this problem occure almost every loading screen, example: enter Old Mormon Fort or somewhere. Balthazar111 2:00 07.30.
Problem is solved. I don't know how but i gess something is wrong in my current game. I start a new game and play nearly 5 hours everything is allright.
Waiting longer in the menu screen seems to be what fixed it for me. ~
Omnisphere 2 crack reddit. Once you’ve done that you will be taken to the download links. You may have to fill in a quick survey to unlock the download link. Don’t worry, it’s free, and all you have to do is enter any old email address and name, they don’t have to be valid.
For what it's worth (who frickin knows when it comes to this bug infested piece of crap), the 'forever' loading screens and the lag after fast travel/going from one game world to another seems to be directly related to the size of your currently saved game. For example, you can have all DLCs installed and have accomplished almost everything in the game and your save file could be around 12 to 14 Mbs. However when you start a new game, your saved game will be extremely lower than this, like around 900 Kbs. This is probably why in a new game you can play for awhile without any issues (except known bugs, like Nash not leave the Casino in Primm after you re-establish law there). Because of all the issues with this game, it might be wise to complete only 2 of the DLCs per playthrough to help keep the file size down. Again for what it's worth, hope this is helpful. --Kid Ego 22:17, October 3, 2011 (UTC)
